Listserves

Are you an avid birder? Many birders subscribe to listservs which deliver daily or more frequent emails detailing bird sightings. Some listservs only list rare species, others are more casual and novices are allowed to post questions for others to answer.

To Report a rarity or record sighting in the state go to the Michigan Birds Records Committee pages and use the Rare Bird Report Form.

The links below will take you to some of the more popular listservs. If you decide to subscribe, please read the terms of use, as there are some guidelines you'll need to follow in order to post your observations.

This is a great way to fill out your life or year list!
