Sanctuary Use Policy

Guests to our sanctuary have one basic rule to keep in mind: "Take only pictures, leave only footprints".

Our sanctuaries are open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. Admission is free. Please enter only at designated entrances.

It is important to note that some of our sanctuaries have trails, others do not. A few have no legal access for guests as they are surrounded by private land with no road access. You are welcome to visit our sanctuaries but bring a map and compass for those without trails and check with the office before visiting landlocked sanctuaries.

For more information view our detailed Sanctuary Use Policy. (PDF)

Geocaching is permitted on some of our sanctuaries. See our Geocaching Policy.(PDF)
