Frequently Asked Questions

General Bird Help

Michigan Audubon's mission is "Connecting Birds and People for the Benefit of Both". Our office and education staff receive many calls and emails daily with questions about birds that they have seen or want to attract.

The following are some of the most frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer to your question here, you can send a form to ask a question of our education staff.

If you need help identifying a bird, try viewing our Michigan Bird Photo Gallery with links to Cornell Lab of Ornithology's About Birds pages.

For answers to more questions about bird conservation issues, visit our Sanctuaries Frequently Asked Questions page.
