Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary is located on 76 acres in Manistee Township, two miles north of Manistee, Michigan. The main building, the M.E. and Gertrude E. Gray House, was the home of Eddie and Gertrude Gray. It is not wheelchair accessible. Their children, Margaret Vickery and Robert Gray, gave the estate to Michigan Audubon in 1987.

The grounds, open daily from dawn to dusk, occupy 1/3 mile of sandy bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. Landscaped as an arboretum, specimens include such exceptional species as dawn redwood, ginkgo, weeping beech and English oak. A giant sequoia and sycamore maple are Michigan Champion Trees. Three self-guided trails lead through woodland, meadow, and lake bluff. The trails are not wheelchair accessible. No dogs/pets are allowed on the grounds; no bikes are allowed on the lawn or trails.

Lake Bluff is a good site for viewing many kinds of birds, especially along the Lake Michigan shoreline during times of migration.
