Sanctuary Stargazing Programs: Saturday, August 15

Otis Bird Sanctuary, Hastings and Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary, Manistee

Join resident managers Tom Funke and Rich Krieger for an evening of stargazing at the Otis and Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuaries. At 8 p.m., we'll head to a high spot in the open fields where we should still be able to catch a few meteors, as the Perseid meteor shower will have peaked on August 12. Bring your star charts, binoculars, and telescopes.

Registration for this free event is required and can be made by calling Wendy at 517-886-9144 for stargazing at Otis and Rich at 231-723-4042 for the Lake Bluff event. The event is free but donations are always appreciated.
