Publications


  • The Jack Pine Warbler is Michigan Audubon's bi-monthly member magazine. It contains articles about bird and habitat conservation, nature photography, our sanctuaries, educational programs, and monitoring activities across the state. You can begin receiving the publication when you join Michigan Audubon. A sample version of the publication can be seen by clicking here.

  • Michigan Birds and Natural History is a publication of Michigan Audubon and is published four times a year (sometimes with an additional fifth issue at no extra charge). Its mission is to provide a forum for the publication of research on the natural history of Michigan with an emphasis on birds. It is also the home of the Michigan Bird Survey, Michigan Christmas Bird Counts, North American Migration Counts, and the proceedings of the Michigan Bird Records Committee. Subscriptions are $25.00/year in the United States ($30.00 International). They cover the current calendar year. Persons beginning a subscription in the middle of a volume will receive the back issues of that volume. Subscriptions can be delivered through the US Postal Service or electronically with a PDF attached to an email. To subscribe online click here.

  • Michigan Audubon's Chapter Connection is a monthly newsletter that helps chapter leaders and members keep up with what is happening in the Audubon family across the state. Anyone can view the Chapter Connection online or be place on our email list for eletronic delivery. If you would like to recieve the Connection in your email box, please send your request to birds@michiganaudubon.org.

  • Sanctuary e-newsletters are available by contacting the Otis Sanctuary in Hasings and the Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary in Manistee. View a sample of the Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary e-newsletter, The Outlook.

  • When you join the Action Alerts network, you will receive periodic emails with background information on specific critical environmental issues. The information may just be to keep you posted on evolving environmental issues or you may be asked to respond to pending legislation.
