Report Observations
Michigan Audubon gets hundreds of requests for information about birds. If you have observed a bird that you think is unusual, but you are not sure it would qualify for reporting as a rare bird sighting by the Michigan Bird Records Committee, if you are unable to identify the bird using your field guide or our online Michigan Birds Identification Help, page, or if you have seen something that you think may be of interest to Michigan Audubon and our members, please use the Report a Sighting form. Please provide as much detail about your sighting as possible. If you would like to submit a photo with your report to help confirm your sighting you can use the form to upload up to three images.
If you have a question about ornithological research, bird feeding, bird conservation or other general birding topics, that you do not see answered in our Conservation Frequently Asked Questions or Backyard Birders Frequently Asked Questions, feel free to send us your question using the Submit a Question form. If you have a digital image of the bird you have seen, you can include it with your question to facilitate identification.
