JACKSON AUDUBON: Spotted Knapweed Workbee at Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary
August 12, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
| FreeJackson Audubon Society, in conjunction with Jackson, Lenawee, and Washtenaw CISMA, will be having a Spotted Knapweed Workbee at Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary on Monday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join us for a morning work session to help reduce this invasive plant on the sanctuary property. We will be removing this plant by the ‘mechanical’ method, meaning no herbicide will be used during the workbee.
The sanctuary is located at Seymour Road across from Fairlane Drive in Grass Lake (near Jackson).
Meet at the Wing Overlook kiosk on Seymour Road.
Wear sturdy shoes or boots. Bring gloves, tick/insect repellent, and water.
