Martha Mott Sanctuary Workday

Join us for a Martha Mott Sanctuary Workday on Tuesday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will continue to chip away at autumn olive and remove the young sassafras that are beginning to invade the prairie. Hand tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own handsaw or pair of loppers. If you have power tools such as a chainsaw or brush cutter, along with proper personal protective equipment, please bring those if you would like. We may not use all the power tools brought.
Please come dressed and supplied appropriately for working outdoors. This includes gloves, closed-toed shoes, pants, water, sunscreen, and insect repellent. The workday will be canceled if there is inclement weather or poor air quality.
Martha Mott Sanctuary is located on 44th Avenue in Mattawan between 24th Street and Woodview Drive.
