Join PRAS members Lisa Hoyt & Tracy Datlen at Lavender Farm, near Boyne City, by invitation of the owners. We will stroll the mowed paths as the beautiful lavender fields which should finally be in full bloom. Some walking is off-trail. Wear sturdy shoes and long pants for protection. The farm also has a ponds, and abundant swallows. In June, participants observed 30 species of birds.
Lavender Hill farm is located at 7354 Horton Bay Rd about 3 miles south of US 31. Look for the farm’s white house, silo, and red barns on the east side of the road. Park at the pole barn drying shed with the lavender roof, which is just south of the farm’s main entrance. The bird walk will begin at the drying shed parking area. Questions:
